How competitive is the Roses Stakes market? When looking at the over-rounds for the last 20 renewals, the most competitive market was in 2023, when the race had an over-round of 106%. The race in 2024 was a race that was most in the bookie's favour with an over-round of 129%, whilst on average over the last 20 renewals of the Roses Stakes, the over-round has been 117%, which means the bookie expects to pay out £100 for every £117 which is bet.

Below you will find the 2026 Roses Stakes Trends. See which patterns have occurred over the recent renewals that you may be able to use for the next renewal. We also have a section that looks at the Roses Stakes Trend Analysis.

These are the top three quickest-run Roses Stakes races over the last 20 renewals:

  1. Big Time Baby (57.11) in 2016
  2. Star Rover (57.33) in 2009
  3. Alligator Alley (57.69) in 2019

Looking at the future form, is the winner worth following next time out? Over the past 20 renewals, if you had followed the winner of the Roses Stakes next time out, then you would have backed a total of 3 winners. Backing all 20 runners who have been out since their win at SP next time out would have returned an LSP of -3.67. Before placing your bet on the 2026 Roses Stakes, see which other runners today are being backed on the racing predictions page.

When looking over the past 20 renewals, a time of 57.11 was set by Big Time Baby in 2016, trained by Tom Dascombe and ridden by Frankie Dettori, which is the quickest time over that period. The slowest winning time was set in 2013 when Hot Streak won in a time of 1:01.22 for trainer Kevin Ryan, who booked Jamie Spencer in the saddle.

What the expert says...
The Molecomb Stakes produced seven of the fifteen winners between 2004 and 2019, so it race to keep an eye on, although none of the last six came from that race.
